New Zealand has granted CliniSafe® a Patent for concomitant drug checking over the internet. CliniSafe® won the SCRIP award 2010 for Best Technological Development in Clinical Trials.

Inappropriate concomitant medication prescribing remains one of the major causes of protocol violations within clinical trials. However, CliniSafe® provides investigator site users with an advanced online interface that enables them to rapidly check clinical trial patients’ concomitant medications against study protocol criteria in a standardised process.

CliniSafe® ensures that Study Management Teams are able to have protocol prohibited medication rules applied globally for the duration of a study, specifically as intended and stipulated in the protocol.

Date Granted:  22 March 2013
