CliniSafe® has won the 2010 SCRIP award for Best Technological Development in Clinical Trials. SCRIP Intelligence - the leading news, data and information service for the global pharmaceutical industry - hosted the 6th Annual SCRIP Awards on 4th November at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. More than 500 people were present at the industry’s most prestigious and hotly-contested awards event.

In this category the judging panel looked for the product that represented the best advance in supporting clinical trial management. They chose CliniSafe’s Interactive Web-Based Concomitant Medication Management System as the eventual winner in what proved to be an extremely tight category, scoring maximum points for all answers from some judges. Inappropriate concomitant medication prescribing remains one of the major causes of protocol violations within clinical trials. However, CliniSafe® provides investigator site users with an advanced online interface that enables them to rapidly check clinical trial patients’ concomitant medications against study protocol criteria in a standardised process. CliniSafe® ensures that Study Management Teams have protocol prohibited medication rules applied globally for the duration of a study, specifically as intended and stipulated in the protocol.
